Ta-Nb advanced materials project starts operation in Lukou, China

On July 3, the tantalum-niobium advanced materials industrial chain project developed by Hunan Huadan New Material Co., Ltd. was put into operation in Lukou District of China and is expected to produce 10 million units of tantalum capacitor case and 3 million units of spinning jet annually.
The project, with total investment of RMB500 million (USD69.85 million) and covering a land area of around 40Mu (2.67 hectares), involves R&D for tantalum-niobium advanced materials, production of (tantalum, niobium, silver, copper) capacitor case, R&D and production of tantalum insulator, spinning jet and other advanced materials, as well as the R&D of metallic material, special ceramic material and glass material. The project aims at establishing a new industrial chain integrating R&D, production and sales for products widely used in industries like nuclear power, aerospace and telecommunication.
