WZ Group expands presence in magnesium industry by acquiring stake in Qixin Alloy

Wuchan Zhongda (Zhejiang) Industrial Investment, a subsidiary of Wuchan Zhongda Group (WZ Group), plans to acquire a controlling stake in Zhejiang Qixin Alloy for no more than RMB2.27 billion (USD317 million) as the company seeks to gain access to upstream resources, expand presence in materials for emerging industries and further optimize its industrial structure.
Qixin Alloy has an existing production capacity of 73,000tpy of magnesium ingot and it is also engaged in associated industries including coke, ferrosilicon and semi-coke.
