According to the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources, in 2022 China's lithium ore reserves (Li2O equivalents) grew by 57% year on year
In 2022 China's cobalt and nickel ore reserves grew by 14.5% and 3% YoY respectively; copper, lead and zinc ore reserves rose by 16 . 7%, 7 . 1% and 4 . 2% YoY respectively; beryllium, germanium and gallium reserves increased by 11 . 7%, 7 . 9% and 16 . 5% YoY respectively; ordinary fluorspar and crystalline graphite reserves grew by 27 . 8% and 3 . 5% year on year respectively.

In particular, Jiangxi overtook Qinghai and Sichuan to rank the first in China in lithium ore reserves, accounting for 40% of the national total; and new discoveries of lithium ore reserves in China last year also mainly occurred in Jiangxi, accounting for 94 . 5% of the total growth and coming from two lithium mines in Yichun, Jiangxi.
