The Transformation, Upgrading and Relocation Project of Xingtai Iron & Steel Corp., Ltd. broke ground on May 28th in Weixian County, Hebei Province. With a total investment of about RMB13.2 billion (USD1.86 billion), the project covers about 2,180,667 square meters.
The existing annual production capacity of Xingtai Iron & Steel includes 2,410,000t of iron, 3,060,000t of steel, 2,950,000t of steel products, 82,000,000 pieces of automobile cold forming parts, 250,000t of welding nets, 100,000t of fine steel wire and others.
