China's Hebei expects solar cell & module production capacity to exceed 55GW by 2025

The notice about An Implementation Plan on Accelerating Clean Energy Equipment Industry Development issued by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province on May 8 emphasized to advance construction of a new energy and energy equipment base in Baoding as well as a photovoltaic industrialization demonstration base in Xingtai, and strengthen photovoltaic generation equipment base development in Tangshan.
The notice also pointed out that, by 2050, Hebei would possess combined annual production capacity of wind power equipment and components of more than 15 gigawatts and solar cell and module production capacity of more than 55 gigawatts, at a rapid growth rate of clean energy equipment industrial scale. And meanwhile, the province's output value of clean energy equipment manufacturing industry will exceed RMB100 billion (USD14.39 billion).
