GACC: China's gross imports and exports up by 5.8% YoY in Jan-Apr

According to the data released by General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), in the first four months of this year, China total import and export value recorded 13.32 trillion yuan (1.93 trillion US dollars), up by 5.8% YoY. In detail, the export value recorded 7.67 trillion yuan (1.11 trillion US dollars), up by 10.6% YoY, and the import value recorded 5.65 trillion yuan (817 billion US dollars), up by 10.6% YoY. The trade surplus reached 2.02 trillion yuan (292 billion US dollars), an increase of 56.7% YoY.
In April, the import and export value totaled 3.43 trillion yuan (496 billion US dollars), up by 8.9% YoY. In detail, the export value reached 2.02 trillion yuan (292 billion US dollars), an increase of 16.8% YoY, while the import value was 1.41 trillion yuan (204 billion US dollars), a decrease of 0.8% YoY. The trade surplus recorded 618.44 billion yuan (89.43 billion US dollars), an increase of 96.5% YoY.
