Yuneng Holdings to invest about RMB3 billion in multi-energy complementary integration project

Yuneng Holdings announced on May 8 that its subsidiary intends to construct the Puyang multi-energy complementary integration (wind-solar-coal energy & storage) project in Puyang. The project, located in the Fan County of Puyang in Henan, targets to build a combined capacity of 400-megawatt wind power, 50-megawatt solar power and 120MW/240MWh energy storage, as well as two wind-power step-up substations of 220kV, to form a multi-energy complementary integration system of wind, solar, coal and energy storage.
The project, with a total investment of RMB3.049 billion (USD440 million), will be built by two phases, of which the first will break ground by late September 2023 and the second will start before the end of March 2024, with a construction period of 18 months each.
