Taiyuan conducts investigation and rectification campaign to prevent major accidents

On May 6th, Taiyuan Emergency Management Bureau reported that in order to promote the implementation of major safety risk prevention and control measures, the Municipal Party Committee and Government have recently decided to carry out a campaign for investigation and rectification of major accident hazards in the city in 2023.

To ensure the effectiveness of this campaign, the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have established the 2023 Action Leading Group, which is fully responsible for organizing and leading the campaign and analyzing and solving prominent problems in the work. At the same time, a special action leading group for key industries at the municipal level has been established to coordinate work in industries such as coal mines, non coal mines, hazardous chemicals, transportation (including roads, railways, civil aviation, and water transportation), construction (including tunnel construction), gas, metallurgical industry and trade, cultural tourism, fire prevention, special equipment, and civil explosives, and to study and solve major problems in the industry.
