NBS: China's raw coal production up by 5.5% YOY in Q1

The latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show that in March, the country's raw coal production reached 420 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%, but the growth rate slowed by 1.5% compared to January-February, with a daily average output of 13.46 million tons. The import volume of coal reported 41.17 million tons, up by 150.7% from the same period last year, with a growth rate of 79.9% faster than that of January-February.
From January to March, China produced 1.15 billion tons of raw coal, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year. Coal imports recorded 100 million tons, up by 96.1% YOY.
