China to advance high-quality development of casting and forging industry

Recently, three Chinese central government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, jointly issued guidance on high-quality development of Chinee casting and forging industry.Asian Metal CopyrightRecently, three Chinese central government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, jointly issued guidance on high-quality development of Chinee casting and forging industry.Asian Metal Copyright According to the guidance, by 2025 further progress should be made in China's casting and forging industry and notable improvements should be achieved in ensuring supply chain for the country's equipment manufacturing industry; by 2025 over ten demonstration industrial clusters will be built to head a sound synergetic development of large, medium and small sized enterprises as well as upstream, midstream and downstream enterprises; over 30 smart-production demonstration plants and over 100 green-production plants will be built; by 2025 the casting and forging industry's particulate emission should decrease by over 30% from 2020, recycling and reutilization volume of foundry wastes will reach over 8 million tons per year, and energy consumption of per-ton forging will drop by 5% from 2020.
