Gaoce Technology to build 50GW large silicon wafer project in Yibin

Gaoce Technology announced on April 12 that it has reached an agreement with the Management Committee of Sichuan Yibin High-tech Industrial Park to invest and build the 50GW PV large silicon wafer project in the industrial park.
With a total investment of RMB5 billion (USD727 million), the project will be developed in two phases, and the first phase of 25GW is expected to commence production in 2024. The phase two of 25GW would break ground six months after the phase one formally becomes operational.
