Aiko Solar to invest in 15GW cell and 15GW module projects in Yiwu

Aiko Solar announced on April 10 that the company intends to invest a total of RMB12.961 billion (USD1.88 billion), including working capital, in construction of a 15-gigawatt high-efficiency silicon solar cell project and a 15-gigawatt high-efficiency silicon solar module project in Yiwu.
Meanwhile, the company also announced to develop a 3.5-gigawatt new-generation high-efficiency silicon solar cell project and a 10-gigawatt supporting module project, following the existing 6.5-gigawatt new-generation high-efficiency silicon solar cell project to form a total production capacity of 10 gigawatts of solar cells and 10 gigawatts of modules. The 3.5-gigawatt solar cell expansion project will be invested with RMB1.4 billion (USD203 million) and the 10-gigawatt module project will be invested with RMB5 billion (USD726 million), including working capital.
