Sinopec wins Inner Mongolia coal exploration right for RMB30 billion

Sinopec Great Wall Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. has won the exploration right to a coalfield in Inner Mongolia for 30.15 billion yuan (4.38 billion U.S. dollars). This is the first case where the transfer of coalfield exploration right is labeled as coal used as chemical raw materials in Inner Mongolia.
The coalfield is located at Wushen Banner of Ordos and covers an area of 115 square meters, with coal resources totaling 2.13 billion tonnes and a planned production capacity of 10 million tonnes per year.
