Chifeng releases high-quality development action plan for nonferrous metal industry (2023-2025)

Recently, Chifeng released the Action Plan for the High-quality Development of the Nonferrous Metal Industry in Chifeng (2023-2025). The plan proposes that by 2025, a copper smelting capacity of 1.06 million tons (including 800,000t of copper cathode), a zinc smelting capacity of 310,000t, a lead smelting capacity of 320,000t, and an alumina production capacity of 6.5 million tons will be formed. The output value of the nonferrous metal industry will reach 75 billion yuan (10.87 billion US dollars) in 2023, exceed 100 billion yuan (14.5 billion US dollars) in 2024, and achieve over 120 billion yuan (17.4 billion US dollars) in 2025.
