China to cut reserve requirement ratio by 0.25 percentage points

China's central bank announced that it will cut the reserve requirement ratio (RRR) for financial institutions by 0.25 percentage points from March 27, except for some incorporated financial institutions that have already implemented an RRR of 5%. The cut will bring the weighted average RRR level to 7.6%.
