Global ferrochrome production increased by 6% YoY to 15
Most of the increase came from Asia with 8% in China and 24% in India, and production in Americas, Indonesia and the rest of Asia was up by 118%.
South Africa and Zimbabwe saw a slight increase of 0.5% YoY in ferrochrome production . Production in Western Europe, Albania and Turkey decreased by 20% YoY due to energy crunch and the Russia-Ukraine conflict . Production in CIS and the Middle East declined by 3% YoY.
. 54 million tonnes in 2022 as the lower output in Europe, CIS and the Middle East was offset by higher production in Asia .
