Elion Clean Energy to construct 10GW high efficiency PV module project

On March 7, Elion Clean Energy signed a contract for a 10-gigawatt high efficiency photovoltaic module project special for desert regions with the Administrative Committee of Ordos Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone, the government of Dongsheng District as well as DAS Solar Co., Ltd.
The project will be constructed by two phases with a total investment of RMB5 billion (USD717 million). The first phase aims to develop a 4-gigawatt high efficiency photovoltaic module production project and commence commercial production in July 2023. And the second phase targets 2024 as operational time with an annual production capacity of 6 gigawatts of high efficiency photovoltaic module. The project will create sales revenues of about RMB16 billion (USD2.3 billion) per year upon completion.
