Shida Mining launches 120ktpy fluorspar powder project

On February 2, Shida Mining launched fluorspar powder production line project with capacity of 120,000tpy (2×60,000tpy), which is the phase one of its new energy material project, at the modern chemical industry park in Xingren.
With investment estimated at RMB30 million (USD440 million), the phase one project is scheduled to break ground in late March 2023 and complete construction within five months. Upon completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 120,000t of fluorspar powder (97%). Phase two of the company's new energy material project, expected to commence construction in June 2023, will add capacity of 70,000tpy (2×35,000tpy) of anhydrous aluminum fluoride and 10,000tpy (2×5,000tpy) of electronic grade hydrofluoric acid, with construction to be completed by September 2024 and December 2025 respectively.
