GCL's first 20k-ton silicon granule module comes on stream in Baotou base

GCL New Energy Holdings Limited announced on December 27 that the company's first 20,000-ton silicon granule module in its 100ktpy Phase-I Baotou production base has been put into commercial production, and meanwhile the supporting 150ktpy nanometer silicon production capacity has brought qualified products. The Baotou base is the company's third R&D manufacturing base of silicon granule besides the bases in Xuzhou and Leshan, and also the first production base which is completely compatible with the upstream materials. When the project reaches full capacity, the company's silicon granule capacity would reach 260,000 tons per annum. At present, the company holds a total production capacity of 120,000t of silicon granule, composed of 60,000t in the Xuzhou base and 60,000t in the Leshan base's first three modules, all at full capacity. In the following three years, the company's silicon granule capacity will increase by around 200,000t per year as planned.
