Daqo New Energy launches 100ktpy high-purity polysilicon project (Phase II)

Recently, Inner Mongolia Daqo New Energy Co., Ltd. has completed the evaluation and approval procedures of its 100ktpy high-purity polysilicon project (Phase II) and 20ktpy semiconductor silica-based material project, and has started the preliminary work officially at present.
Daqo New Energy has signed an investment agreement with the government of Jiuyuan District on December 18, 2021, which stipulated the investment and construction of a 200ktpy high-purity polysilicon project and a 21ktpy semiconductor polysilicon project in the Jiuyuan Industrial Park by two stages. The second phase of the polycrystalline silicon project, with an annual production capacity of 100,000t, is invested with RMB9.5 billion (USD1.36 billion) and scheduled to be completed and come into production by the end of 2023.
