NEA: China will meet charging needs for more than 20 million electric vehicles by 2025

On July 27, the Information Office of the State Council held a press conference, in which the related official from China's National Energy Administration (NEA) introduced that during the "14th Five-Year Plan", China will do its best to push forward the implementation of the carbon peak program in energy sector to promote the green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development of energy; meanwhile, China will strive to develop non-fossil energy sources with the aim to make renewable energy account for about 18 percent of the total energy consumption by 2025.
In terms of clean alternative of end-use energy, China will accelerate the construction of charging facilities for electric vehicles, with 3.92 million units having been built as of June this year, forming the world's largest charging infrastructure . It is expected that by 2025 the country would meet the charging needs for more than 20 million electric vehicles.
