Liaoning strives to achieve wind power and photovoltaic installed capacity of more than 37GW during 14th five-year plan

On July 14, Liaoning Government issued the energy development plan for the province during the 14th five-year plan. According to the plan, non-fossil energy will contribute more increase in energy consumption, accounting for 13.7% of the total. Non-fossil energy will become the main power, accounting for more than 50% of the total power generation, and the power generation proportion of non-fossil energy will increase to about 47%. The installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic will reach over 37GW. All coal-fired units shall meet ultra-low emission standards. The proportion of clean coal utilization will reach about 45%.
