Brazil reports lower manganese ore export in May

Brazil exported 70,100 tonnes of manganese ore in May 2022, compared with 72,100 tonnes in April, according to the country's customs.
Asia was the main destination of the month with 69,000 tonnes, including 66,600 tonnes to China, while 900 tonnes was shipped to Colombia and 200 tonnes to Europe.
In May, Brazil imported 30,300 tonnes of manganese ore from South Africa.
The South American country exported 1.72 million tonnes of manganese ore in total last year, with revenues of $171 million.
