On May 24, the trial run of the Xiarihamu Nickel-Cobalt Mine dressing project of Huanghe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. entered a 100-day countdown. The project plans to make the test run before August 31 and is expected to produce 300,000 tons of nickel-blended concentrate per year. According to reports, the Xiarihamu Nickel-Cobalt Mine is located in the jurisdiction of Golmud, Haixi, Qinghai, on the southern edge of the Qaidam Basin, and is the largest nickel-cobalt sulfide deposit discovered in the world in the past two decades. The first open-pit mining area has proven nickel metal resources of 1.18 million tons.
