Fujian Fuhua New Material Group's capacity replacement project made public

In order to further promote the merger and reorganization of the iron and steel industry, adjust product structure, upgrade process equipment and improve energy conservation and emission reduction capacity, Fujian Fuhua New Material Group Co., Ltd. and Fuan Tongkang Metal Products Co., Ltd. independently carried out merger and reorganization and jointly implemented the short-process electric-arc furnace steelmaking project. In accordance with relevant guidelines and implementation measures issued by the State Council, the capacity replacement program of Fujian Fuhua New Material Group Co., Ltd. was made public by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Fujian Province on April 2 for a period of 20 working days.
According to the replacement program, Fujian Fuhua New Material will shut down steelmaking capacity of 500,000 tons per annum (tpa) and build capacity of 825,000tpa; Fuan Tongkang Metal Products will shut down 360,000 tons of capacity. The ratio of the replacement is 1:1. 825,000tpa of the newly-planned capacity will be used for electric-arc furnace steelmaking project, with the remaining 35,000 tpa capacity for other projects.
