Australia-based Arcadia Minerals announced on February 21 that it has intersected pegmatite in all holes from its 29-hole drill program at its Swanson Tantalum Project in Namibia.
The company received assays for the final 12 holes, which indicate a potential increase to the existing open pit Mineral Resource. Sample results for nine holes returned a weighted average of width of 1.22 metres at 564 g/t of tantalum oxide, 232 parts per million (ppm) of lithium oxide, and 51 g/t of niobium pentoxide . Other three drill holes returned an average of 10.62 metres at 372 g/t tantalum oxide, 2,855 ppm of lithium oxide, and 71 g/t of niobium pentoxide.
The existing Mineral Resource estimate confirmed a maiden Indicated Mineral Resource of 633,500 tonnes at 431 grams per tonne (g/t) of tantalum oxide.
The Mineral Resource update is expected to form the basis of a planned feasibility study for the project.
