The groundbreaking ceremony for Wushan Copper Mine phase III expansion project was held at the construction site on July 6.
With total investment of RMB2.1 billion (USD324 million), the phase III expansion project is scheduled to be completed by late 2025 and would have available resources of 76.50 million tonnes and a service life of 24 years. When the project reaches full capacity, Wushan Copper Mine is likely to become one of the top five underground copper mines in China.
