According to the data released by the Joint Plant Committee of India on July 7, India's crude steel production recorded 27.72 million tons from April to June 2021, a decrease of 7.2% from the previous month, but a significant increase of 60.6% from the same period last year.
From April to June, India's private steel companies produced 22.59 million tons of crude steel, down by 4.9% from last month; state-owned steel companies produced 5.13 million tons of crude steel, down by 16.3% compared with the previous month.
