China Resources Microelectronics Limited (CR Micro) announced that its fully owned subsidiary Huawei Holding plans to sign a cooperation agreement with
National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund Stage Two Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Xiyong Microelectronics Industrial Park Co., Ltd. on forming a joint venture Runxi Microelectronics (Chongqing) Co., Ltd.; the joint venture will have a proposed registration capital of RMB5 billion (USD0.78 billion), of which 19% or RMB950 million (USD149 milllion) will come from Huawei Holding. According to the agreement, the joint venture will invest RMB7.55 billion (USD1.18 billion) into constructing a 12in power semiconductor wafer production line project.
