Coal of India's e-bidding coal volume increases by over 50% YOY in Apr-May

Recently, Coal India Ltd. announced that in April-May this year, Coal India's e-bidding coal sales amounted to 21.5 million tons, a 52.5% increase from 14.1 million tons in the same period last year.
The company said coal sales in the non power sector accounted for 50% of the total sales, reaching 10.8 million tons, up 77% from 6.1 million tons in the same period last year. Over the same period, the amount of coal in India's power industry through electronic auction also increased by 49% year-on-year to 6.1 million tons.
In the 2020-21 fiscal year, India's e-auction coal sales reached 124 million tons, a record high, 88% higher than that in the 2019-20 fiscal year.
