Poland's coal production up by 4% YoY in Jan-Apr

According to statistics of main industrial products released by Central Statistical Office of Poland, from January to April 2021, Poland produced nearly 35.41 million tons of coal, up by nearly 1.35 million tons or 3.96% from the same period of last year. Among them, the hard coal production was about 18.91 million tons, down by 3.1% YoY, and the lignite output was about 16.49 million tons, up by 13.4% YoY.
In April 2021, Poland's coal output recorded about 8.79 million tons, an increase of 14.7% from the same period of last year but a decrease of 4.2% compared with last month. The output of hard coal rose by 8.5% YoY to about 4.6 million tons and that of lignite increased by 22.3% YoY to about 4.19 million tons.
