NSSC lifts nickel-based stainless steel plate contract price for January

NSSC announced on January 14 that it increased the domestic contract price of SUS304 and other nickel-based stainless steel cold-rolled plates of thin and thick grades by JPY10,000/t (USD47.67/t) for January, (all reflected in the alloy surcharge, but the base price remained unchanged), while the contract price of cold-rolled plates of chromium-based stainless steel remained unchanged, including base price and alloy surcharge. Therefore, the price of chromium-based products has remained unchanged for seven consecutive months and price for nickel-based products has risen by JPY40,000/t (USD286/t) since June 2020.
