A few days ago, the website of Changzhi Municipal People's Government issued the "Opinions on the Layout of the Iron and Steel Industry in Changzhi". According to the "Opinions", the layout of the iron and steel industry in Changzhi will focus on Licheng Industrial Park and Lucheng Economic and Technological Development Zone to achieve industrial intensification, product differentiation and enterprise intelligence. Through capacity replacement, equity cooperation, property rights transfer and other means, the city's steel production capacity will be reorganized and integrated, and a production project with an annual capacity of 10 million tons of steel and 4 million tons of coking coal will be built in Licheng Industrial Park. At the same time, Changzhi will take advantage of the coking industry in Lucheng to build a production project with an annual capacity of 5 million tons of steel in Lucheng Economic and Technological Development Zone through outsourcing of steel production capacity.
The production project with an annual capacity of 10 million tons of steel in Licheng focuses on the production of high-quality long products and sections, plates and pipes for new constructions, and the production project with an annual capacity of 5 million tons of steel in Lucheng focuses on the production of hot-rolled coils, medium-thick plates, and steel for household appliances, steel for automobile, ship plate and other structural steels.
