POSCO to build a plate plant in Saudi Arabia

It is said that South Korean POSCO is under a study on building a plate mill in Saudi Arabia. According to a source from POSCO, the company and Aramco of Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding on November 30 to jointly launch the feasibility study of plate business.
Since 2015, Saudi Arabia has been promoting IKTVA Program. The Petroleum and Energy Ministry of Saudi Arabia is boosting the domestication of plate production lines at present. After confirming the commercial feasibility of this project, POSCO will proactively push the construction of plate plant in Saudi Arabia.
