China announces 2020 tungsten ore mining quotas

Recently, the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) jointly announced that in 2020 Chinese government will continue to implement tungsten ore mining quota policy and tungsten ore mining quotas for the year of 2020 are as follows:
2.For the year of 2020, the national total quota for tungsten ore mining is 105,000t, including 78,150t mining quota and 26,850t comprehensive utilization quota. The above quotas included the first-batch quotas announced by the two ministries previously.
2. Provincial natural resources authorities should break down their own quotas and inform subsidiary cities, counties or companies within 20 working days after the announcement is made.
3. Local natural resources authorities should sign accountability agreements with local tungsten mining companies to ensure quota implementation, and should strictly enforce monitoring system on a monthly basis.
4. Local authorities on natural resources and on industry and information technology should strengthen communication and cooperation so as to improve local administration on tungsten mining quota implementation.
