According to Qujing Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, in July this year, the 900,000tpy anode carbon project of Sunstone Yunnan Aluminum Carbon Material Co., Ltd. will realize the full commencement of three projects: calcination, roasting and green anode; the calcining furnace and roasting furnace will be injected in October; all the civil engineering works of the three processes will be completed by late December; and the first process will be ignited in March 2021. After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual operating revenue will be 3 billion yuan (424 million US dollars), the profit will be 350 million yuan (49.46 million US dollars), and the tax will be 250 million yuan (35.33 million US dollars).
With a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan (452 million US dollars), the project is located in Huashan District, Zhanyi Industrial Park, Qujing, covering a total area of 1,020mu (including 820mu for the project). The overall plan is to build a production line with an annual output of 900,000t of carbon materials for aluminum.
