Since the second section of the first phase of Guangyuan Zhongfu's green aluminum project was electrified on May 20, as of June 3, 1/3 of the electrolytic cells had been electrified and started, and the operation of the cells was stable, and all parameters met the technical standards.
It is expected that in late June, after the completion of the second section, the production of primary aluminum will increase by 10,000t per month on the existing basis. Taking advantage of the low-cost green hydropower advantages in Guangyuan, according to the current aluminum price, the product will generate a profit of about RMB2,000/t (USD283/t), and the monthly profit will reach about 20 million yuan (2.83 million US dollars), with the profit space of the enterprise being gradually released. At the same time, after the completion of the first phase of the 250,000tpy green aluminum project, it will play a strong role in supporting Guangyuan to build an aluminum base in the Sichuan-Shaanxi-Gansu junction and a 100-billion-yuan aluminum industry cluster, and will also lay a solid foundation for the collaborative development of the upstream and downstream industrial chains of the aluminum and aluminum deep processing for Zhongfu Industrial.
