Shandong supervises energy conservation in steel, primary aluminum and coal industries

On May 28, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong issued a notice about carrying out supervision on energy conservation in key industries, including iron and steel, cement, primary aluminum, plate glass and coal.
The supervision focus on the execution of energy consumption quota set for relevant companies in 2019. These companies are required to conduct self-inspection and prepare related documents on the supervision. By late October 2020, all cities of Shandong should set a deadline for rectification for companies failing to meet standards. By late November 2020, all city should submits supervision results to the law enforcement supervision bureau of Energy Administration of Shandong Province.
