Shandong province to enforce differentiated electricity rates for steel mills from Jul 1 on

Recently, Shadong province released a notice on trial enforcement of differentiated electricity rates for steel mills in relation to super-low emission standards from July 1 on.
According to the notice, steel mills which fail to reach any of the three standards in relation to super-low emission, including organized emission, fugitive emission and clean transportation, will be charged an electricity rate which is RMB0.01/KWh (USD0.001/KWh) higher; steel mills which fail to reach two of the standards will be charged a rate RMB0.03/KWh (USD0.004/KWh) higher, and those failing to reach none of the three standards will be charged at a rate RMB0.06/KWh (USD0.008/KWh) higher, while those reaching all standards will be charged a normal rate.
