MIIT confirms energy conservation supervision task for major national industries in 2020

On May 22, MIIT confirmed the task of energy conservation supervision for major national industries in 2020 according to the related work plan.
Based on overall consideration of industry characteristics, enterprise scale, location and monitoring details, 3,177 enterprises are involved in the task. Among them, 2,170 enterprises are under special supervision for the implementation of mandatory energy consumption quota per unit product; 754 are under special supervision for the implementation of tiered electricity pricing policies for steel, cement and electrolytic aluminum businesses; 144 are under supervision for energy efficiency of data centers; and 109 are under special supervision for the implementation of rectification measures for non-compliant in 2019.
