France and Germany suggest EU to set up recovery fund of EUR500 billion

Leaders of France and Germany jointly proposed on May 18 and suggested the European Union (EU) to set up a recovery fund of EUR500 billion to help the economy recover from the impact of COVID-19.
According to the proposal, the European Commission will raise fund of EUR500 billion from the capital market in the name of the European Union, take the fund as EU budgetary expenditure and provide it to countries that was severely affected by the pandemic.
