CNMC Daye Nonferrous Metals starts to build high-purity copper cathode clean production project

On May 12, Daye Nonferrous Metal Group Holdings Co., Ltd. under CNMC started to construct the high-purity copper cathode clean production project with a capacity of 400,000tpy.
The project adopts the flash smelting and flash converting process, the world's leading production technology, and is expected to be put into operation at the end of 2021. It would process 1,600,000tpy of copper concentrate and produce 400,000tpy of copper cathode and 1,500,000tpy of sulfuric acid to realize an annual output value of RMB20 billion (USD2.82 billion) with tax of over RMB1 billion (USD0.14 billion). After the project is completed, CNMC would have a copper cathode production capacity of 1 million tons in China, becoming a leading copper producer in the world.
