Yangxin Hongsheng's 400,000tpy copper project breaks ground

The groundbreaking ceremony for Yangxin Hongsheng's 400,000tpy copper EPC project was held on May 12. China No.15 Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd. is the contractor for the project.
With a planned area of 1,500mu, the project will build a new modern copper smelter capable of processing 1.6 million tonnes of copper concentrate, 400,000 tonnes of copper cathode and 1.48 million tonnes of sulfuric acid per year. Upon completion, the project is expected to realize annual production value of RMB20 billion (USD2.8 billion), with profit and tax of over RMB1 billion (USD141 million).
