Berth 1 system of Boffa project succeeds in heavy load test shipping

Recently, the first heavy load test ship at berth 1 system of Boffa bauxite project in Guinea ea was successfully, which is another substantial progress after discharge at Rizhao port in Shandong.
Boffa project is a key project for the overseas strategic development of Chinalco and COSCO, and it is also a major breakthrough in the construction of "Belt and Road" for the implementation of global layout.
The project has supportive construction of two 10,000-ton bauxite loading berths and one multi-purpose berth, with 20 COSCO's 200,000-ton oceangoing freighters. After its formal operation, the bauxite would be transported to the storage yard through a belt of 23 kilometers, and then loaded into river barges and transferred to oceangoing freighters, and finally arrive at China traveling more than 20,000 sea miles.
In June 2019, Rizhao port signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinalco Logistics Group and takes charge of port operation and management for the project.
