The Raw Material Division of MIIT held a forum on the analysis of the operation of the steel industry on March 5th to comprehensively understand the novel coronavirus pneumonia impact on iron and steel industry and take effective policies and measures to solve the difficulties and problems faced by the industry in order to better promote the resumption of production and stable operation of the steel industry.
Participants exchanged China's steel industry operation in January-February, analyzed the impact of epidemic on the steel industry and the major difficulties and problems faced by enterprises in the process of resumption of production, and predicted the subsequent trend, consumption demand, import and export and iron ore price changes in the steel industry. They also studied policies and measures to promote the smooth operation of the industry, expand consumption, accelerate the industry intelligent manufacturing, green development, merger and reorganization.
