AMC looks for partners to invest bauxite project in Guinea

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 27 Feb 20 - Africa Mining Corporation, a Guinea-based company, is looking for partners to invest a bauxite project in Guinea.
A source from the company reported to Asian Metal that AMC bauxite project is located in Boke area of Guinea, with the proven reserves of around 230 million tons. "We firstly need around 1 million US dollars to finalize drillings and feasibility study for the port, road and start production," said the source, adding that the overall budget is around 15 million US dollars for the construction.
According to the source, they plan to start infrastructure construction from late this year. The mining area, around 60km away to the port area, has a designed production capacity of 5 million tonnes per year. They will produce bauxite Al2O3 44-46% SiO2 10%max.
If everything goes well, they are scheduled to produce around 1 million tonnes of bauxite in 2021.
Current prevailing prices for Guinean bauxite Al2O3 45%min SiO2 3%max stand at USD51-52/t CIF China.
They show interest in the 11th World Aluminum Raw Materials Summit to be organized by Asian Metal on May 14-15, 2020 in Hangzhou of China, to promote their bauxite project.
