Heilongjiang carries out spot checks on steel and aluminum processing industries

In accordance with the requirement of Ministry of Emergency Management, the Department of Emergency Management of Heilongjiang set up three special inspection teams which carried out spot checks on steel and aluminum processing industries in six cities, including Harbin, Qiqihar, Daqing, Shuangyashan, Yichun and Qitaihe, from December 18 to 26 in an effort to effectively mitigate major safety risks in metallurgy and machinery industry provincewide.
This round of spot checks mainly targeted iron and steel companies with blast furnace, rotary furnace and electric furnace as well as aluminum processing companies with smelting, recycling and casting processes.
Eight companies were inspected, including Northeast Light Alloy Co., Ltd., Jianlong Beiman Special Steel Co., Ltd. and Heilongjiang Jianlong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd, and a total of 21 potential problems were identified. The inspection teams offered help and guidance for these companies to deal with difficult problems.
