China's major copper smelters to discuss possible production cut

Ten major Chinese copper smelters including Jiangxi Copper and Tongling Nonferrous will attend the seasonal meeting to be held in Fuzhou, Fujian on December 26 when they will evaluate possible production reduction, a move to deal with the reduced profit margins and the seven-year-low TC caused by capacity expansion, according to sources familiar with the matter.
