Zijin Mining said on Tuesday that at present, Kolwezi copper mine in DRC under the company contains associated cobalt. The wet process system of Kolwezi copper mine (copper cobalt project) was put into trial production at the end of December 2018 and began to gradually produce cobalt in the middle of 2019. After the above copper cobalt project runs at full capacity, the overall annual production capacity of Kolwezi copper mine will reach 100,000 tons of copper and 3,000 tons of cobalt.
