Linyi accelerates promoting construction of Lingang stainless steel base

From early this year on, in order to solve the production capacity issue in constructing the high-end stainless steel base and advanced special steel base, the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Linyi has been actively assisting in introducing production capacities from other areas to Linyi to accelerate the production capacity replacement.
Presently, Lingang fine steel and advanced special steel base has finished production capacity replacement of 8.7833 million tons of three iron and steel projects. Yongfeng Lingang Co., Ltd. under Shandong Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. replaced 5.5573 million tons of ironmaking capacity and 5.3833 million tons of steelmaking capacity; Linyi Steel Investment Group Co., Ltd. replaced 2.31 million tons of ironmaking capacity and 2.70 million tons of steelmaking capacity with the high-quality and special steel project which has an annual production capacity of 2.70 million tons; 700,000 tons of steelmaking capacity was replaced by the phase-I of high-end stainless steel project with an annual production capacity of 2.40 million tons.
The bureau will facilitate Baowu Steel Group, TISCO and Shandong Xinhai Technology Co., Ltd. to sign a strategic cooperation framework agreement. The three sides will give a full play to respective advantages, take production capacity as the cooperation basis, integrate advanced technology and equipment, production capacity and asset scale and ferronickel resource advantage and actively boost cooperation in stainless steel raw material, manufacturing and other fields to achieve complementary advantages and win-win.
